The Armenian Festival at Darling Harbour didn’t have ideal weather. The wind threatened to blow the whole festival away. But I enjoyed exploring the Australian Armenian identity:  Sydney Armenian scout

And the crowd seemed to enjoy a band called (of course) The Pomegranates, who sang Armenian pop love songs. Sydney Armenian Festival

The highlight was the food: pahklava variations,  Pakhlava variations

a guy with meat on swords (his hands look as roasted as the meat!),Meat on a sword

and this mysterious dessert. Armenian mystery dessert

I attempted to use my journalistic training to learn what these are, but because of the howling wind, I couldn’t hear anything. So if anyone knows, fill me in!
